This was West University’s third appearance in the last four World Series, with the other appearances coming in 2009 and 2010. The 2009 team won the championship... Will Reid made the trip to the 2009 series to watch his brother, Samuel, play... Led Emilia 5-3 before exploding for 10 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning in 15-3 win over Emilia that lasted only five innings... Left seven runners on base despite getting only two hits in 2-0 loss to South Beaches/Greater West Melbourne... Attempted only one (successful) stolen base in the series...
