15-3 loss to West University was in five innings... 13-2 loss to South Beaches/Greater West Melbourne was in five innings... The fourth consecutive team from Italy to represent Europe-Middle East-Africa, the others being Friuli Venezia Giulia L.L., Friuli Venezia Giulia (2009), Lazio L.L., Lazio (2010), and Friuli Venezia Giulia L.L., Friuli Venezia Giulia (2011)... Meeting against Bayside Westhaven marked the first time an Europe-Middle East-Africa team had played an Asia-Pacific team in a Senior League Baseball World Series... Almost pulled out the biggest upset in Bangor World Series history in 5-4 loss to Lemon Grove, as the Europe-Middle East-Africa region sported a 10-33 (.233) overall record entering the game, with U.S. West sporting a 45-12 (.789) overall record. Had leads of 1-0, 2-1, and 4-2 before giving up three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. Lemon Grove’s winning run scored with two outs. Left 11 runners on base in the game... Game against South Beaches/Greater West Melbourne was played on the artificial turf at the University of Maine’s Mahaney Diamond because of rain. It was the first Bangor World Series game played away from Mansfield Stadium and outside of Bangor... Attempted only one (successful) stolen base... Hit .268 as a team, but .303 with runners in scoring position...
