It was the first Bangor World Series game to be played at a venue other than Mansfield Stadium and outside of Bangor, as the two teams played on the artificial turf at the University of Maine’s Mahaney Diamond... Led Lemon Grove 3-1 entering the bottom of the seventh inning before giving up three runs in Lemon Grove’s walk-off win... Limited West University to only two hits in 2-0 win... Became the first U.S. Southeast team to reach the semifinals since 2008, when East Boynton L.L., Boynton Beach, Fla., finished pool play with a 4-0 record, only to lose 8-7 to Pabao L.L., Willemstad, Curacao, Netherlands Antilles... Led eventual World Series champ Juvenil de Guatemala 1-0 before giving up all five of Juvenil de Guatemala’s runs in the third inning. However, had only one hit against Juvenil de Guatemala... As a team, drew 25 walks while striking out only 12 times. Drew 10 walks in 13-2 win against Emilia... Cooper Christiano stole third base three times in the series...
