Had an interesting pool play schedule, playing at 8 p.m. on its first day, 5 p.m. on its second day, 1 p.m. on its third day, and 10 a.m. on its fourth day... Was down 6-2 entering the bottom of the seventh inning against Auburn before scoring five runs for the walk-off win. Scored all five of the runs with two outs. The win gave Western the head-to-head tiebreaker over Auburn for second place in the pool... Had a seemingly comfortable 8-1 lead entering the top of the seventh against Hampden-Newburgh before allowing four runs and enabling the potential tying run to come to the plate. It was the first time in 11 Bangor World Series that a U.S. Central team played a Maine District 3 team... Limited to only three hits in 6-1 loss to Juvenil de Guatemala... Became the first U.S. Central team to advance to the semifinals since 2005, when Urbandale L.L., Urbandale, Iowa, won the series... Hit .291 as a team overall, .326 with runners in scoring position, and .286 with two outs... Had only one extra base hit, a double by Nick McNamara in 7-6 win over Auburn... Had eight sacrifice bunts, the most of any team... Pitching staff gave up 47 hits in 32 innings while walking 18, for a WHIP of 2.03...
