Down 2-1 to Windmills, scored four unanswered runs in the top of the fifth inning in 5-2 win. Batters were 5-for-9 with runners in scoring position... Was down only 2-1 to eventual champ Freehold Township before giving up nine runs in the top of the fourth in 12-1, five-inning loss. Only three of Freehold Township’s runs were earned. Managed only two hits in the contest off future minor leaguer Brett Brach, who sign with the Cleveland Indians in 2009... Comeback bid against Humboldt Park came up short, as Greater Helotes National fell behind 4-0 before scoring two runs in the bottom of the third, fell further behind, 6-2, in the sixth before answering with two runs to make it 6-3. The game ended with runners at second and third. Only two of Humboldt Park’s runs were earned... The team’s ERA was 2.14 and pitchers struck out 28 batters while walking only nine...
