The 2007 team went 3-0 in pool play before losing in the semifinals to eventual series champ Cartersville L.L., Cartersville, Ga... 10-0 win over Brewer/Orrington L.L., Brewer, was in five innings via the 10-run rule... 11-1 loss in the championship game to Hilo L.L., Hilo, Hawaii, was in five innings via the 10-run rule. It was the first time a championship game had ended early because of the rule in Bangor World Series history... Was down 2-1 after three innings to Friuli Venezia Giulia L.L., Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy, before scoring four runs in the fourth to take the lead en route to the 11-2 win. Hitters walked 13 times against Friuli Veneziea Giulia pitchers – a record. Base runners stole nine bases, with Trace Reed stealing three to tie the record for most stolen bases in a game by a player... Endured several rain delays – the longest of which was more than three hours – in 8-6 comeback win over Easton/Home Run Baker L.L., Talbot, County, Md. Was down 6-0 after three innings, then scored four times in the fourth and four more times in the top of the seventh for the win. The game had been scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. but didn’t get under way until 12:16. A rain delay shortly before 3 p.m. sent the teams to the hotel for three hours. The game finally ended shortly after 7 p.m... Fought off a feisty Notre-Dame-de-Grace L.L., Montreal, Quebec, Canada, team in 5-4 win. Led 1-0 after one inning before Notre-Dame-de-Grace tied it in the third. Led 4-1 after the third before Notre-Dame-de-Grace tied it 4-4 in the fifth. Finally went ahead for good on a two-out Tanner Bandel triple in the sixth... Held Brewer/Orrington L.L., to only two hits in 10-0, five inning win... Used a four-run and five-run inning to defeat defending World Series champ Aruba South L.L., San Nicolas, Aruba, in the semifinals, 10-5, despite committing four errors. The win was the U.S. Southwest’s fourth consecutive over a Latin America team and improved the region’s overall record over Latin America teams to 6-3 .667 – the best record any region has against Latin America... Mustered only three hits in the championship game against Hilo and gave up seven runs to the U.S. West champ in the third inning in the 11-1 loss... Hit .346 as a team, with 14 doubles... The pitching staff struck out 34 opposing hitters while walking only 12... The pitching staff’s ERA ballooned from 1.91 entering the championship game to 3.53 after the game...
