Jeff Sinkiewicz delivered the first pitch of a Bangor Senior League Baseball World Series, a called strike on South Vineland’s Darren Ford. After spotting South Vineland four runs in the first inning, Chet Wagner scored seven runs in the bottom of the inning and held on for the 11-7 win... 9-8 loss to eventual World Series champion Pabao came in 11 innings. Down 5-0 to Pabao entering the fifth inning, Chet Wagner scored eight runs before Pabao answered with three runs of its own in the bottom of the sixth. The U.S. Central champ had only four hits in the game, but walked nine times and had three batters hit by pitches... Down 8-1 to ILLAM Central entering the bottom of the sixth inning, scored 16 unanswered runs and had nine hits en route to the 17-8 win. Fifteen consecutive Chet Wagner batters reached base in that sixth inning... As a team, had only three extra base hits in the series, all doubles... The pitching staff gave up 17 extra base hits – 13 doubles, three triples, and one home run...
