This was Hilo American/National L.L.’s second appearance in a Bangor World Series. Hilo won the 2003 World Series... 17-2 win over Saipan came in five innings via the 10-run rule... Was down 5-1 to Whalley with two outs in the top of the seventh inning before scoring five runs for the 6-5 win... 5-4 loss to Paraguana came in nine innings. It was the first time an elimination game had to be decided in extra innings in a Bangor World Series... Hit four home runs as a team, with Kolten Wong and Blake Amaral each hitting two... Wong was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals as a second baseman in the first round of the 2011 Major League Baseball amateur draft (22nd overall). He made his Major League debut on Aug. 16, 2013, and got his first big league hit on Aug. 18, 2013...
