Notes
|
|
The second Maine District 3 team to win at least two games in a Senior League Baseball World Series. The first to accomplish the feat was the 2010 Bangor East/West team, which finished second in that series with a 4-2 record... Win over Cape Breton was the fifth consecutive by a Maine District 3 team over a Canadian team, and the fifth consecutive series-opener win for the host district... 3-1 win over ILLAM Central was only the second time a Maine District 3 team has beaten an Asia-Pacific team in seven tries... Bangor East/West hitters were only 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position in 4-2 loss to Martinez-Evans. The team left nine runners on base in the game... 11-1 loss to Pearl City was in five innings via the 10-run rule... Jordan Derrah’s solo home run against Pearl City was the only home run hit in the series... On the base paths, Bangor East/West stole four bases, but was caught stealing four times as well... On the mound, Justin Courtney was among the series leaders in ERA, strikeouts, and strikeouts-to-walks ratio...
